Hi! My name is Michelle Beurskens and i’m a Dutch designer based in Venlo, with a passion for graphic design, interaction, technology and data.
Ever since I was just a little girl, I always loved to be creative and had a great passion for TV-commercials. I was probably one of the few people in this world who cared more for those commercials than the actual TV-programs itself. After losing touch with my creative side during high school, I chose to focus on the more Beta side in my proces of becoming a young adult. It was only until the last year of high school when I decided to switch back to my creativity. After enrolling into the Art Academy in Maastricht, those physics, science and technology background became quite handy, as i took most of my inspiration out of these subjects.
Quickly I started to experiment with digital art in the form of programming and coding, not quite something you would expect from someone who’s studying Graphic Design. My main focus during my years at the academy had been about exploring the possibilities in engaging people in digital art by using interactivity, sounds, movements and generative art. A fluid combination of coding, design, video and photography, which makes me so much more than just a graphic designer. I can’t wait to see what the fast evolving world of technology has in store for me in the future!
